Since 1998 for an annual exhibition «Meeting of artists» the ministries of culture of countries of TURKSOY take away works of artists from 16 Turkish countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Bashkiria, Republic of Northern Cyprus, Turkey, Tatarstan and other. Thus, for last 10 years 625 works of different artists were collected for a show in the cities of Europe. Since 1992 Azerbaijan is the member of International organization on joint development of Turkish culture and art of TURKSOY and from that period took active part in realization of international and cultural programs of this organization. In October, 2009 the next meeting of the Permanent council of ministers of culture of countries of TURKSOY was held in Baku. Within the framework of this enterprise on October 14, 2009 an exhibition of photos and paintings was opened in the Art Gallery of Museum Center. 32 paintings and 67 photos were displayed at the exhibition. In the day of opening of the exhibition General Director of TURKSOY Dyusen Kaseinov arrived in our city. It is desirable to mark that a minister of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Karaev for this time was a coordinator of TURKSOY convention. In this enterprise participated the ministers of culture of TURKSOY member states and representatives of state organizations.
